Scott Cockrum shares his personal journey of transformation from decades of addiction and anger to faith and community service:
Early Life & Initial Stumbles: Scott accepted Christ around age 5, but by age 12, he began sneaking alcohol and marijuana with his uncles.
Loss & Spiraling Downward: At age 22, the tragic loss of his older brother devastated him. Overcome with anger at God, he fell into severe alcoholism, house burglary, and suicidal ideation, living in an aggressive and reckless cycle for over 30 years.
Redemption & Sobriety: About 15 years ago, Scott rededicated his life to God. He broke free from alcoholism, married his wife, and began serving at Passion Assembly as well as on the prayer team at Living Proof Ministries.
Message of Hope: He encourages others facing addiction or heartbreak that full surrender to Christ offers complete healing, renewed purpose, and a desire to serve others with love.
