Do Not Worry By Evangelist Sam Biggers

There are those who go through life without seeming to have any cares about what is happening in their life.  On the other hand, there are those who worry about everything.  They seem to have no peace.  The former may seem to have no responsibility by others.  We are all created equal.

The Bible instructs us that to worry about a matter in life is a sin.  I fall into this camp quite frequently.  I confess that I am too serious regarding many situations in life and attempt to carry my own burdens and the burdens upon my shoulders without handing them to the Lord.  I admit I fail to trust God and rob my own soul and heart of contentment, peace, joy and happiness.

Gratification flows out of a heart that is at peace and rest in the Lord.  It is lack of gratification that causes life’s pleasures and satisfaction to hinder us in our walk with Christ.  Everyone faces challenges that require the Lord’s help.  Our goal in life should be to live a balanced life – one that is not filled with worry or troubled to the point we lose sleep.  We must come to a point when we face reality and reach out to Christian brothers and sisters for their payers.  Worry impacts all those around us –our family, our friends, our fellow believer and is an affront to God

“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?  Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?  And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?  And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.  But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’  For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.  But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.  Mark 6:25-36
