“The Holy Spirit” is the last portion of the Acts Ministry vision. The vision reads, “Unity, in Christ, through The Holy Spirit.” This ActsFest 2022 will focus on the Biblical foundations and purpose of “The Holy Spirit.”
First, while Christianity is a forgiving faith, it is not when it comes to “The Holy Spirit.”
If you had any doubt read Matthew 12:31-33. Therefore, when addressing the presence of “The Holy Spirit,” and its multiplicity of human reasons, it is imperative we do not add or subtract in our worship and recognitions that which is given us in The Bible.
Second, the broadness of his presence is easily recognized by evil doers acting as if they are receiving a divine word. We must remember Galatians 5:22-23 where the basic purposes of “The Holy Spirit,” are defined. These purposes are: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control Interpretive actions outside of the workings defined above are not of “The Holy Spirit.”
Third, Acts Ministry has for nearly 30 years exercised tolerance, restraint and patience the pieces of “Forbearance.” Its ability to accept disunity, unfaithfulness in service and disregard of material needs has been clearly acting within the guidance of “The Holy Spirit.” It is quite apparent “The Holy Spirit,” has his presence on the workings of Acts Ministry. Therefore, this is the reason why Acts Ministry has been guided by “:The Holy Spirit” to conduct this ActsFest 2022.”The Holy Spirit” will be invited to deliver the messages needed today.
Finally, Isaiah 11:2 defines what actions need to be taken. “The Holy Spirit,” will give us wisdom, understanding, counsel, knowledge, fear of God and might. We must act with the fear and might of God as we are by our own actions the servants of God The Father, God the Son and God The Holy Spirit. This is the time of accountability, obedience and unity less we forget John 17.
Amen, Dr. James R. Wining, Bishop/President
