Gabriel J. Saraceno’s Story On “417 Testimonies of Jesus Christ” Episode 23 With Hosts Preston Cameron Dennis Eversen.
Gabriel shares his remarkable life testimony—spanning a turbulent childhood, decades trapped in addiction, criminal activity, and paganism, and his eventual life-transforming encounter with Jesus Christ.

Childhood and Early Struggles:

Gabriel grew up facing emotional and developmental challenges, later understanding he was on the autism/Asperger’s spectrum. Following his parents’ divorce when he was a toddler, he developed deep distrust and rebellion toward authority, hitchhiking across the country as a teenager and running away into street and gang life.

Addiction and Prison Life:

Starting drugs at age 13, Gabriel fell deep into methamphetamine addiction and a lifestyle defined by violence and survival. At age 20, he committed murder and was subsequently sentenced to 15-to-life in prison in California, serving 25 years across multiple state systems.

Paganism and Searching for Identity:

While facing the death penalty and enduring long stints in solitary confinement, Gabriel adopted paganism as a rigid moral code, eventually becoming a pagan priest for 27 years. Despite his structured adherence to pagan rituals, he ultimately felt deep emptiness, shame, and depression.

The Turning Point and Surrender:

After his release on parole while living on an off-grid property in Missouri, a SWAT raid in 2024 led to his arrest for being a felon in possession of firearms. Looking at his dog, Rusty, he chose not to engage in a shootout.

Facing a potential return to prison, Gabriel called out to Jesus, experienced a miraculous answered prayer when a state plea offer allowed him to go home with probation after only 28 days in jail, and fully surrendered his life to Christ.

Redemption and Current Ministry:

Today, Gabriel is actively involved in street evangelism, sharing his faith, supporting recovery communities, and mentoring others struggling in the same dark places he once walked. He is happily married to a supportive wife involved in recovery ministry and enjoys a restored family life.
